Meet Rev. Anne Marie Meyerhoffer Our Transitional Minister

With thirty years of experience as an ordained Presbyterian Church USA minister of word and sacrament, the Rev. Anne Marie Meyerhoffer comes to our church from Berlin, CT (near Hartford) where she served as pastor for eleven years in Milford, CT and as interim pastor for a year in Marcellus, NY. She knows our area well having lived in northeast Pennsylvania (Bradford county) for twelve years and enjoying thirty summers at her cabin near Montrose, PA where she will reside while interim pastor here for the next six months.

Rev. Anne Marie is a graduate of Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia and Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey. She has served urban & rural, large & small congregations as well as Lutheran and Congregational churches in Columbus GA, Endicott NY, Rome PA, New Britain CT, Hartford CT, and Bristol CT. After five years as a divorced, single mom, Rev. Anne Marie married Ed Schufer in 2012 during a Sunday morning worship service in the Milford sanctuary ~ Ed is retired spending time with his muscle cars and grandchildren; daughter Sarah is a student at Chapman College~Dodge School of Film and Media Arts in Anaheim, CA; son Jefferson works in Memphis, TN; step-sons Eddie & Alex are grown living in Connecticut. Her hobbies include listening to all genres of music, playing the piano, guitar and mandolin, cross-stitching, and reading. She has been a member of Folk Music Society, Clergy Association, Community Development Block Grant Commission; president of the boards for a pastoral counseling center, interfaith council, and Central Connecticut State University chaplaincy program.

Although she will undertake the typical tasks of a pastor, her primary focus will be on helping us discern where God is leading us into the next chapter of our church’s history. Please note that Rev. Anne Marie is our part-time (or half-time) interim pastor. You will find her at the church office on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, maintaining office hours (as schedule permits) 10am-Noon, 2:00-4:00pm (drop-in or schedule an appointment); she also enjoys visiting folks in homes or at your favorite park, coffee shop or restaurant.
